Plan the materials and the finished result

Share profiles, approximate lengths, door or window counts, and whether you want unfinished, paint-ready or fully finished work. Older or discontinued materials may prevent an exact match. Include product links for materials you have already purchased.

Finish carpentry questions

Can you match the trim that is already in my home?

Send close-up photos of the profile, its width and height, and a wider view of the room. A sample can also help. Older or discontinued profiles and aged finishes may prevent an exact match; we will discuss the options before ordering materials.

Does trim installation include painting or staining?

The estimate should identify material supply, installation, surface preparation and the agreed finish separately. Tell us whether you want unfinished, paint-ready or fully finished work so we can define what is included.

Can you replace just a few damaged pieces or an interior door?

Yes, those are useful projects to discuss. Show us the damage and adjacent surfaces. Door size, handing, frame condition, hardware and floor clearance all affect what can be reused and what needs replacing.

What information helps you estimate finish carpentry?

Send room photos, approximate lengths, the number of doors or windows, and any product or style references. Include whether materials are already purchased. Final measurements and the condition of existing surfaces may require a site visit.
